Shortly before Christmas break, Molloy’s Model UN Club hosted its first “Mini Conference.” Twenty-five students attended, making up two committees that discussed refugee children and cybersecurity. Typically, our Model UN students travel elsewhere to attend conferences, but this event allowed student leaders Valerie Savage ’24, Daniel Giovanniello ’24, and Moises Bien-Nunag ’25, with guidance from moderator Ms. Hipkin, to plan and chair the discussions. It was also an opportunity for many participants to practice their Model UN skills in a formal setting for the first time! Participants Enda Connolly ’27 and Bryana Quintero ’25 won Best Delegate, Renee-Elizabeth Brown ’26 and Camila Burga-Alcon ’25 won Most Improved, and Laiba Ahmad ’26 and Jules Nohar ’25 won Most Professional.
